从事妇科内分泌及不孕症专业40余年，擅长女性生殖内分泌疾病、临床结合科研攻克许多妇科疑难杂症，

包括:青春期发育迟缓及性发育异常，闭经、痛经、异常子宫出血;对诊治多囊卵巢综合征、女性多因素不育症及内分泌因素复发性流产，提早绝经及绝经后健康保健有丰富的经验。不育症内镜矫治手术技术精湛。在治疗多囊卵巢综合征并发子宫内膜不典型增生的药物转化、卵巢功能衰退不育症及非肥胖型多囊卵巢综合征等方面获突破性成果。

基于林教授在该学科中的重大贡献，2018年荣获“中国医师协会妇产科医师分会”--第七届“妇产科好医生·林巧稚杯”奖。发表论文50余篇，获得多项国家及市科委科研基
金。主编《实用妇科内镜学》及《妇科内镜图谱》两部专著，参与《实用妇产科学》、《现代妇产科学》、《临床药物使用手册》等多部专著的编写。
